I found it a lot easier to keep my project up to date in a diary as it did not require access to internet etc, so therefore I will just upload images of the pages i wrote on this blog.

Poll
So the idea of creating a poll on the internet to see what people's opinions on using the data is just struck me.
I wasn't sure of what website to do it on, therefore I just made one on TSR as I thought people would know some things about the experiments carried out and Nazi Germany in general, therefore they could voice their opinions.

first 1000 words?
Ok, so I know I was supposed to write the first thousand words of my essay, but when I was trying to come up with ideas of starting my essay, my mind just went blank and I could only come up with 200 or so words.
In order to overcome this writing block, I think I should write the parts of the essay which I have lots of ideas about and are not as hard to write. Maybe I will start with the arguments AGAINST using the data,.
I reserved a book at a local library which just arrived now, so I might put off writing anything for a few days until I finish the book. this book is about one the most famous Nazi doctors, who killed thousands of people due to his grotesque medical techniques.

I produced this list of things I should do in order to meet the assessment objectives of my EPQ.
I will print this and update it in order to keep my project up to date and organized.
I will print this and update it in order to keep my project up to date and organized.
AO1- Manage the project.
-The aim of my project is to gain a deep understanding of
the medical experiments the Nazis carried out on Jews in concentration camps
and if the data obtained from the experiments would be ethical to use by
doctors now.
-update gantt chart throughout the project
-updating a project progression blog on a weekly basis
A02- use resources.
I have carried out research using the following resources:
-Books from the library (secondary research)
-Internet (secondary research)
-Articles in magazines (secondary research)
-History teachers
-watch documentaries about the Nazi human experiments as it
will give me a vidual understanding of the experiments
-Discuss the ethical issues attached to this topic with people
to get different views on it.
AO3- Develop and realise.
-Changing the title
-not finding books in the local library and reserving one
from another library
-write a few re-drafts of my essay and improve them

Essay plan
Started outlining the main points which I want to include in my accompanying essay. I started with identifying questions which I want to address in my essay and I think that this will give structure and focus to my essay:
1. what were the nazi human experiments?
-their purpose
-who they were carried out by
-the Nuremberg code
-when
2. examples of nazi human experiments explained
-freezing experiments('useful' experiment from which doctors still use the evidence)
-sterilization
-gas experiments
-sea-water experiments
-bone, muscle and nerve transplantation
-altitude experiments
edited second paragraph:
I no longer want to write about so many different experiments that have been carried out. Not only it will be redundant as my essay is focusing on the ethical issues to do with the data collected, but it might also make my essay too long. I am now going to only write about one successful experiment from which the data could be useful, and another experiment which we don't don't need the data from. This will demonstrate if the experiments were futile or not.
3.arguments for using the data
-for the benefit of future generations
4. arguments against using the data
-cruel experiments
-the data from most of the experiments were not even used
5. The exceptions and final remarks
-buried beneath the Nazi human experiment data, there might be the sure to cancer, and the victims might decide to give consent for the data to be used for the greater good of the human population.
6. Conclusion
-sum up what I have previously said
-mu own opinion and back up with evidence
Things to ask my supervisor:
Should I write anything about Mengele; a famous Nazi doctor who dealt with victims in Auschwitz.
